An academy does not have to be a social network
Courses, classes and appointments should work with or without communities, chats or tutors. Our plan keeps those choices separate.
A school needs a register. A personal trainer needs an appointment that cannot be double-booked. A dance teacher needs recurring classes and a workable cancellation process. None of those needs automatically requires a community feed.
Separate the decisions
We are planning Academic Community Engine around independent choices: how teaching works, where it happens and which optional tools help. A course can be self-paced, AI-led or tutor-led. Learning can be online, in person or hybrid. Device-offline use is another choice entirely.
The small journeys matter
Our acceptance plans include a free poetry learner with no assigned tutor, a one-to-one PT booking, a parkour workshop, recurring dance classes, a skating clinic and a school lesson/register journey. Each should work with only the modules it actually needs.
Optional tutors does not mean software can declare a physical session safe to run without qualified supervision. An operator can require a human lead for a particular activity. That is an explicit human policy, not something an AI response can satisfy.
In person is not the same as device offline
A class can happen in a room while its booking system is online. A learner can read a downloaded lesson while travelling. We will treat those cases separately. Offline work cannot silently confirm the last seat in a class, settle a payment or grant access that the server has not approved.
What is live and what is next
The public catalogue, personal accounts, private notes and academy drafts are available. General session booking, registers, private shared teaching and customer academy provisioning remain implementation work. Our published plan tracks those gaps rather than treating a demonstration as a finished service.
We will start with shared permissions, a small session model, free bookings and online registers. Paid passes, bounded offline synchronisation and more complex operator workflows follow their dependencies. The useful measure is whether a real learner and operator can complete the journey.
